Friday, Friday Getting Down on Friday!

Holla! It's Friday (cue Rebecca Black singing in your head!) So excited for today! Babe comes home for 3 days (before he has to go back for his last week of training) and we are doing some wedding planning this weekend. 
So over at the The Growing Up Diaries, Jamie posted about what she loved about herself. It seems to coincide with Whitney (over at I Wore Yoga Pants to Work) #projectselflove. So I decided to join in the fun. I have always been my harshest critic when it comes to everything, so hopefully this will remind me of all the things I love about myself.

//my eyes// I have a thing for eyes, and I love that mine are blue :) 
//my height// I love that I'm short. Babe isn't super tall, so even in the rare occasion I wear heals, he is still taller. 
//being goofy// I am a goofball. I even like to make myself laugh, and that ends up making others laugh too. 
//my compassion// I'm an extremely compassionate person, and I think people take advantage of me for it, but I would never change it. 
//i'm loud// I used to hate that I was so loud that everyone could hear me, but as I have gotten older I have embraced it and now I love it. 
//I love the 90's// I love that I listen to 90's music more then I should (and that I know all the words to every NSYNC song on the planet) 
//my picky eating// I am a texture eater, so that makes me extremely picky but everyone knows it, so I people always cater to me
//I love reality TV// Most people hate it, but it is my dirty secret and it makes me feel so good about life that I don't have those problems (okay, I would feel awesome if I was on one of those Real Housewives shows)
//started shows and finish them// I love that I can say I watched shows and finish them all the way through, even if they get horrible the last couple seasons
//I fall asleep when I watch movies// Everyone hates this (okay, mainly Babe) about me, but everyone knows I do it and I don't think I have seen a movie all the way through in a while
//that I have Babe// I love that I found someone who cares so much about me and wants to take care of me and my crazy
//my crazy// That I have a term deemed "my crazy" and most everyone knows it about me
I do love me and what I have to offer the word. Everyone is right, if I don't love me, who will? 
Whitney also have this AWESOME link up every Friday called #backthatazzup! Today's song of choice was going to be something else (but silly grooveshark didn't have it) but this song is way better! This song talks about petticoats (and that makes it a-maze-balls :))

I Call This Place Home

So today, I decided to do another link-up. (I'm sorry, not really:)) Brianna over at Endlessly Beloved came up with this awesome one that will tell you a little more about me and where I come from.

One // Disney World //  I love Disney (as you all have learned) and love that it is in my backyard. Nothing makes me happier then a Disney trip after work.

Two // Home of Tijuana Flats // Now, if you have not experienced Tijuana Flats, you are missing out. This small restaurant has grown into a chain and well its awesome (nothing else needs to be said, the food speaks for itself)

Three // Beach // The beach isn’t exactly in Central Florida, but it is a a short drive (about 45 minutes to either the east or west coast). I am not a beach person really, but I have to say sometimes I love to sit in the sun and relax.

Four // Hurricanes // Most people would not find this a great thing, but when you have dealt with about 10-15 storms in your life, you learn to embrace it. Can we say Hurricane Parties?

Five // Park Ave // I grew up in a suburb of Orlando, called Winter Park. It’s a small town (a 6 mile square) and downtown is one street (yup.. one street!) It’s really pretty to walk around and just hang out. Oh! They have my favorite wine place!!

Six // Shopping // We have a lot of malls in this area (and I love to shop) so basically any store, high end or not, we have it. Makes budgeting hard.

Seven // Weather // Actually, I complain a lot about this because it gets to hot in the summer, but in the winter and its between 60-70 degrees, I’m in heaven. So right now, I have about 2-3 more weeks of this glorious weather, until I hate it again.

Eight // University of Central Florida // I went to school there and graduated, which is a big feat since it took me 7 years.

Nine // My family // My family lives here. Although, I don’t see them often anymore (maybe like 3 times a month) its nice to know they aren’t that far away.

Ten // Traffic // Most people would hate this (and actually I do too when I am stuck in it) but it keeps me in a job and Orlando has a ton!

Where Have I Been and a Link-Up

I didn't go missing again. I promise. I just got bombard with work and learning HTML (you'll see the finished product at a later date) that I forgot to blog. I'm sorry - forgive me? Okay! 
Well yesterday, was kind of uneventful except I started button swapping! I am so new and behind the times with blogging that I didn't know what to do. I am thankful for some lovely ladies who assisted me and now I have a button and can swap (or pay for advertising, but not ready for that crazy stuff yet).  Alright, I do have my link-up going up today with the lovely Two Thirds Hazel, whose blog I read before I even started my own. Excited to participate. 

I'm Sure You Want To Know...

Today I decided to let everyone learn a little more about crazy little me. Since I am new to the blogging community, I have learn (an experienced as a blog reader) that you want to know all about the person your reading about.
So I present to you…

I am afraid of the dark, so afraid that I have to have someone sleep with me or have the TV on all night. 

In college, I majored in Psychology because I didn’t know what else to do, but have no desire to do anything in the psychology field. 

I have never lived out of the state of Florida but I feel like I don’t belong here. 

I did not get my drivers license until I was almost 19 years old, but I got my permit at 15. 

I am an only child and my parents did that so I couldn’t fight with any siblings. 

I hate washing my hair and I mean HATE IT and tend to not do it often. 

I have never been a big drinker of alcohol, I do like a good glass of Moscato though. 

I hate tomatoes, and that includes ketchup, I will not touch my food if a tomato has. 

I could eat anything dipped in buffalo sauce, and I mean anything. 

My favorite food is french fries (they are even better dipped in buffalo and ranch). 

My favorite movie is Mary Poppins. 

When I am sick, I have to watch Beauty and the Beast and Hunger Games. 

My brains goes fifty miles a minute, and I constantly think in terms of writing a journal (maybe that’s why I started blogging).

I have three best friends, but two live away from me. 

I wear glasses and contact, but rarely will you find me in contact unless I am wearing sunglasses all day.

I am obsessed with sunglasses (I worked in a sunglass store for almost 4 years).

People say I resemble Mayim Bialik (from Blossom and Big Bang Theory) but I don’t see it.
